​Campden BRI support our members with global Regulatory Support, across the UK, EU and internationally.

The structure of food and drink legislation varies significantly around the world – Our experienced team of regulatory experts can help you ensure that your products are compliant with the legislative requirements of your target market.

We offer a valuable, extensive and authoritative information and advisory service to help clients stay compliant with food regulations in more than 80 countries. Our services include:

  • Artwork and label review which helps you identify areas of non-compliance or mandatory and voluntary indications;
  • Regulatory translations which help you convert your labeling information to the legal language(s) of your destination market;
  • Nutrition information table generation which includes converting a US label into a UK compliant format and vice versa;
  • Formulation checks to help you ensure the ingredients in your product are permitted and within the legal limits.
  • An extensive training programme (in person and online), which includes topics such as introduction to food law, food and drink labelling, food additives and flavorings, nutrition, and health claims, as well as weights and measures.
  • And sector specific expertise for alcohol, allergens, additives, and food supplements.

Position

  • Maintain and extend a high level of awareness of current food legislation, related issues and likely developments
  • Answer questions from members, other clients and colleagues on the content, application and interpretation of the above
  • Support scheduled Campden BRI legislation course
  • Develop and contribute to publications and events
  • Initiate new business and deliver contract services on time and within budget
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of research projects
  • Recommend and implement change in services, products and systems

Requirements

  • ​Degree in Food Science/Technology
  • Excellent attention to detail, experience in interrogation and interpretation of regulatory and technical documents
  • Typically, a minimum of 12 months+ knowledge of food law acquired in a commercial, enforcement, consultancy or policy setting (we will consider graduates with a placement year)
  • Food industry experience gained from a technical role with understanding of the Regulatory environment
  • Well-developed communication skills – upwards, downwards and outwards, training delivery and presentation skills would be an advantage.

Additional information:


  • Once per month travel to Chipping Campden site for monthly team meeting.
