​Our Sales, Marketing, Training & Membership department oversee all the commercial elements for our organisation: liaising and supporting our technical functions with marketing campaigns, market research, developing key accounts, overall strategy and ensuring our members have added value through our services and consultancy.

We also provide a wide range of training courses from introductions into microbiology, Food Science & Technology, Thermal Processing etc to advanced HACCP and international regulatory courses.

Marketing

​In this newly created role you will act as the strategic lead on content marketing activities for the business, ensuring marketing activity engages prospects and converts them into leads and customers for our services. This will include social media, website content (articles, blogs, white papers plus more) and email. Content will drive web traffic, client leads, new subscribers, and client retention, as well as support thought leadership initiatives. You will manage team members responsible for blog writing, copywriting, acting as an Editor, and work closely with PR, digital, and corporate marketing colleagues.

Position

  • Develop a content marketing strategy for both the Campden BRI brand and our key business services, establishing best practice processes and ways of working across the business
  • Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that links into strategic priorities for the business (including blog posts, whitepapers, reports, webinars, infographics, etc.)
  • Ensure that brand and proposition messaging is clear, engaging and consistent, with the target audience in mind
  • Creating, managing, and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns leveraging SEO, social, inbound marketing, email, mail/print campaigns and events to drive client acquisition
  • Establish closed-loop analytics with sales and technical teams to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into new business
  • Work with our Market Insights Analyst to utilise customer, competitor, and market research
  • Support Sales team with client engagement activities, including giving presentations
  • Create monthly reports containing a robust description of monthly activity, suitable advice and recommendations and a clear summary of performance against the key performance indicators and metrics
  • Lead and manage the content marketing team daily (2/3 direct reports), as well as collaborate with the digital and corporate marketing teams when necessary
  • Set objectives for the direct reports and monitor performance

Requirements

  • Degree in marketing and/or CIM qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing management with a content focus, with at least 3 owning the content marketing strategy and output
  • Experience working across a variety of content formats and channels, including written and video
  • Expertise in conversion-driven copy for landing pages
  • Experience managing content writers
  • Excellent English content writing and communication skills are a must have
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and blogging software features
