Microbiology Analytical Services

Campden BRI provide science, technology and innovation support to the food and drink industry. Our Microbiology team test for viruses and pathegons in food & drink, test during the manufacturing process and offer consultancy work- supporting our members- food & drink manufacturers, retailers and aligned industries.

You will support the Microbiology Analytical Services section who offer an ISO17025 accredited testing services for a full range of pathogens and spoilage organisms.

Position

  • ​Microbiological testing of samples.
  • Sample Receipt Steward.
  • Maintain records in accordance with Quality systems.
  • Main laboratory facilities and equipment as detailed in the Business Management System, including performing housekeeping duties in both all laboratories areas.
  • Demonstrate in audit situations if required.

Requirements

  • Work accurately within specified time frames.
  • Ability to work within a team with supervision and accurately follow instructions/SOPs.
  • Flexibility to undertake a number of tasks and help to  prioritise tasks.
  • Accurate record keeping and reporting.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • ‘Can do’ attitude.

Additional information:

  • ​You'll work Mon-Friday 8am-4.30pm 
  • There is a weekend rota- every 5-6 weeks you will have to do several hours over one weekend which will be paid overtime.
  • Please note due to our location you will need to drive and have your own transport.
