Quality Team

​Here at Campden BRI, we are a membership organisation offering scientific services, advice and consultancy to more than 2,500 member companies, all within or connected to, the global food and drink industry. Through a combination of science, technology, innovation and information services, we ensure our members have access to the latest scientific techniques and industry leading expertise.


Quality is at the heart of everything we do from training to processes & accreditations- we are proud to hold ISO9001 and UKAS 17025. Our quality team review and improve our processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the site to ensure that quality standards are consistently achieved as an outcome of excellent process.

Position

  • ​Your role will be to manage the quality team, lead and promote all aspects of Campden BRI quality activities to ensure the effective use of resources and quality operational excellence
  • Development and implementation of the group quality strategy and quality metrics including setting goals, agreeing priorities and establishing adequate systems for ensuring that appropriate levels of governance and compliance are in place
  • Embed a culture of ‘Audit ready, always’ across all aspects of the business
  • Review and establish processes & procedures ensuring they are fit for purpose and current
  • Establish, maintain, develop, and continuously improve the quality management systems with a focus on integrating the business and equipment management systems that underpin quality and operating standards
  • Advise, monitor, audit, influence, action and report on all quality performance issues to achieve compliance with current ISO9001 and UKAS 17025 and future accreditation standards
  • Act as a quality champion to support the mentoring, training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of quality standards and their relevance to corporate objectives
  • Through the application of Continuous Improvement principles, constantly search for process improvements to deliver tangible improvements in both efficiency and effectiveness of our processes across the business, between teams and departments whilst maintaining vigorous quality standards.

Requirements

​Essential

  • Proven experience of working in a similar leadership role - experience of working in a science/laboratory environment is highly desirable
  • Internal auditor trained
  • Practical experience and demonstrable knowledge of third-party auditing and compliance with relevant certification and accreditation standards - ISO9001:2015 (ISO17025:2017-UKAS beneficial)
  • Proven leadership ability with demonstrable ability to lead a team
  • Knowledge of LEAN
  • Experience of implementing or creation of quality management system (QMS)
  • Excellent change management skills with the ability to engage stakeholders to drive change
  • Exceptionally self-motivated with demonstrable ability to set the vision and lead operational and strategic quality strategies
  • Confident and effective communicator with strong interpersonal, relationship building and negotiation skills

We are based in Chipping Campden and this role will require you to be office based with occasional hybrid working.
