Peter Headridge is responsible for providing strategic direction to, and the management of, Campden BRI. He joined Campden BRI in 2020 as COO in the operations team.

Prior to joining Campden BRI, he worked at the Kellogg Company for over 21 years in various roles including, food safety, consumer affairs, innovation marketing, innovation project management, R&D, health & wellness and latterly was a member of the European Leadership team. Prior to joining the Kellogg Company, his career included product development within the dairy industry and refinery production management in the sugar industry.

Peter is a Fellow of the IFST and a member of Nottingham University Industrial Advisory Board for Food Science. He received his Bachelor Honours Degree in Food Science from the University of Nottingham, and went on to attain his MBA from the University of Durham.

Global Head of Quality, Diageo

Tim Holmes is responsible for the quality strategy and agenda for Diageo plc. Tim started his career with Guinness as a brewer and has worked in diverse technical roles over a 30 year career within the Guinness and subsequent Diageo organisations. He uses his passion for quality and flavour to help ensure Diageo's products delight their consumers.

Katherine Smart

Global Technical Director, Diageo Supply Chain & Procurement

Katherine leads Diageo’s Global Technical function with responsibility for Innovation, Research and Liquid Development, Packaging and Governance and is based at the Diageo Technical Centre in Menstrie, Scotland. She joined Diageo on 7 January 2019 from her role as University Lecturer in Brewing and Distilling Sciences at Cambridge University. She was previously Global Chief Brewer & Vice President for Supply Chain Integration with ABInBev, and prior to that Global Chief Brewer with SAB Miller.

Her career has spanned across academia, research, strategic and operational technical leadership roles in large corporate organisations. She started out as a Laboratory Technician before going on to complete her PhD and post-doctoral research fellowship at Cambridge University.

Katherine is the first woman to be appointed as Renter Warden of the Worshipful Company of Brewers, leading the way for the next generation of female brewers around the world.
