The food and drink industry relies on laboratory accreditation to provide confidence in results, ensure food safety and quality, as well as evidence of legal compliance. The international standard against which laboratories are assessed and accredited, ISO 17025, has been updated. For laboratories to remain accredited, they will need to demonstrate compliance with the new requirements in the updated standard.
Key benefits of attending
- This seminar will provide information on the new requirements, including areas of increased testing, to help laboratories transition to the revised standard, ISO17025:2017
- This seminar will also assist laboratories who are not accredited, but need to demonstrate compliance with the requirements and principles of ISO 17025 to satisfy other certification schemes (e.g. BRC)
- The management system requirements in ISO 17025:2017 have been harmonised with those in ISO 9001:2015. The seminar will also cover how laboratories can potentially comply with both standards requirements through the operation of a common management system.
Who should attend?
This seminar will be of interest to laboratory managers, senior management with overall responsibility for laboratory operations and personnel with responsibility for ensuring the quality of laboratory systems.
