Campden BRI performance beats economic downturn to rise in Gloucestershire Top 100 Businesses ranking for third year in a row


Campden BRI, a company that provides research, analysis and consultancy for the food and drink industry worldwide, has been named as one of the Top 100 Businesses in Gloucestershire in a ranking published by the Citizen and Gloucestershire Echo.

Campden BRI, which is based in Chipping Campden, this year jumped 10 places in the ranking with a turnover of over £21 million to become the 60th top business in Gloucestershire. This is the third year in a row that the company has risen in the ranking rising 21 places since 2010 despite the challenging economic climate.

This reflects its ambitious plans. Over the last 18 months the company has installed over £1.4 million in new cutting edge processing and analytical equipment, as well as building a new £300,000 facility to streamline the receipt and processing of samples from food and drink clients for testing and pilot processing.

As a result of the favourable business performance, the 300 strong workforce has benefited from bonuses and pay increases of more than eight per cent over the last two years.
