About
Greg has worked here at Campden BRI since 1990, after studying Applied Science (Physics and Chemistry). As part of his extensive knowledge and experience in thermal processing and microwave cooking, he was instrumental in setting up the microwave heating category rating system used in the UK, and has travelled internationally assisting and advising on the safe development of microwave products and rating systems.

Leading the Instruction Development Services team, he and the team have assisted UK retailers and their suppliers with the development of heating instructions for a vast array of products across a comprehensive range of cooking methods.
Another area of Greg’s expertise is temperature measurement, for example, Greg presented at the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) Conference in Dallas, US on the Subject of ‘Thermal Imaging for Microwave Heating’. Greg also presented at the IAFP conference in Washington on ‘Factors That Affect Microwave Power and Issues with The Uniformity of Heating in Microwave Ovens’ and has had his paper presented at the International Microwave Power Institute (IMPI) Annual Conference.
