About Janetta Hylands
Janetta describes herself as "The Original Foodie". She leads the Consumer and Market Insights team at Campden BRI, which includes product evaluation, competitor benchmarking, tracking new product trends, brainstorming and recipe writing.
After gaining City and Guilds qualifications, Janetta Hylands started her career as a chef and catering manager, before moving into the world of food manufacture. She joined Stratford Foods as Development Technologist working mainly with ambient stable products such as pickles, relishes and cooking sauces for most leading retailers and foodservice providers. She later worked for Rich Products, again in product development but on frozen bakery products primarily for in-store bakeries, before joining Campden BRI.
