FEMAS feed material audits
The Feed Materials Assurance Scheme (FEMAS) aims to assure the safety of feed materials.
Under the scheme, all breweries and distilleries that supply feed materials to UFAS approved feed compounders and co-products to merchants who deliver to farms must have systems to assure the safety of these materials. The systems must be audited by an independent, accredited body.
Product Authentication International (PAI) is the nominated certification body for the scheme. Campden BRI (Nutfield), in conjunction with PAI, offers audits of breweries and distilleries to check compliance with the FEMAS Regulations. In some cases, we can combine this with existing audits, with resulting savings in time and costs.
Where we refer to UKAS Accreditation
The Campden BRI group companies listed below are both accredited in accordance with the recognised International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). The accreditation demonstrates technical competence for a defined scope of methods, specific to each site, as detailed in the schedules of accreditation bearing the testing laboratory number. The schedules may be revised from time to time and reissued by UKAS. The most recent issue of the schedules are available from the UKAS website www.ukas.com
