Regulatory Affairs

Position

  • To maintain and extend a high level of awareness of current food legislation, related issues and likely developments within the EU and French speaking markets.
  • To answer questions from members, other clients and colleagues on the content, application and interpretation of the above.
  • To direct a scheduled Campden BRI legislation course.
  • To develop and contribute to RA publications and events.
  • To initiate new business and deliver contract services on time and within budget.
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of research projects.
  • To develop self to enhance performance and professionalism.
  • To undertake such other duties as may, from time to time, reasonably be required by line manager.

Requirements

  • Fluency in French, with ability to read and write to a professional level.
  • Graduate level qualification(s) in science, law or related subjects.
  • Excellent attention to detail, experience in interrogation and interpretation of regulatory and technical documents.
  • Proven experience to a senior level with knowledge of food law acquired in a commercial, enforcement, consultancy or policy setting.
  • Competency in developing and maintaining relationships with clients, industry experts and Regulatory bodies on scientific, technical, and regulatory developments.
  • Well-developed communication skills – upwards, downwards and outwards, training preparation delivery and presentation skills.

Additional information:

  • This role is remote based, with travel required once per month to our site at Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire.
  • Working hours- Monday-Friday 8.45am-5.15pm (4.30pm finish on Fridays).
