Analytical Services

We offer commercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography,  packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits

Microscopy Team

Our Microscopy team undertakes a diverse range of microscopy investigations which can include foreign bodies, screening, imaging, packaging, key accounts, and bespoke client requests.  They produce relevant reports and provide consultation with clients. 

Position

  • ​Undertake microscopic investigations, examinations covered would include foreign bodies as well as any or all of the following: screening, imaging, packaging, and bespoke projects
  • Interpret analytical data
  • Prepare and issue technical reports
  • Consult with and assist clients with the work required or interpretation of results
  • Assist with the booking in of samples & returns
  • Provide basic technical support and advice to colleagues where required
  • Update the Campden BRI Management system
  • To keep neat and orderly records of results and other relevant information

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to draft a wide range of reports and maintain client relations
  • Science graduate
  • Proven experience in Microscopy
  • Competent in the use of relevant microscopy techniques and methods 
  • Investigative/problem-solving skills and ability to draw on relevant experience
  • A working knowledge of materials and organic microstructures
  • Ability to suggest a tailored approach based on the complexity of samples
  • Good time management skills and ability to coordinate resources
