Research and innovation
All businesses need to be able to access and utilise the output from research. But research costs money and in sectors such as the food industry there are many areas that compete for funds. Even for the very largest food company, conducting research in all of its areas of interest is impossible. Smaller companies can not even begin the process.
The only solution is to join together to fund the work and collectively share the output. This is exactly how Campden BRI operates. Its core research programme is determined and funded by its members, and these members get exclusive access to the results. In addition, they have an inside track into details about research being funded at Campden BRI by UK government departments and the European Union, amongst others.
