Consumer Insights Team

​​Campden BRI are at the forefront of innovation, science and technology that supports our members- the food & drink industries. With our sensory & consumer science department we help to create winning products through applied sensory solutions, including Sensory testing services, innovation and insights, sensory training and consumer testing services.

Our Consumer Insights Team customised research design to understand how consumers engage with products and packaging across food, drink and other consumer product categories.

Position

  • ​Entry level opportunity for a Food Science graduate who has an interest in Consumer/Sensory Insights!
  • Undertake technical activities involved in the set up and running of consumer research projects. For example, scripting of recruitment of screeners, procurement and/or transportation of testing materials/samples, logging in and storage of samples, writing of kitchen and service protocols.
  • Project support- invoicing, liaison with suppliers, scripting of assessment questionnaire.
  • Conducting fieldwork (food preparation in the kitchen and moderation) and maintenance of respondent database.
  • Assist with brand profile activities associated with the promotion of the Consumer Insights Section services.

Requirements

  • ​Degree in food science/technology, psychology, consumer/market research or sensory research.
  • Work experience in a catering or hospitality environment and/or consumer/ market research related discipline is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel - minimum intermediate level.
  • PowerPoint and database knowledge beneficial.
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Good level of verbal written and communication skills.
  • Full Driving License.

Please note due to our rural location, you must be able to drive and have your own transport. There will also be regular travel to Leamington Spa where we conduct some of our Consumer testing (company pay petrol expenses).
