​Our Sales, Marketing, Training & Membership department oversee all the commercial elements for our organisation: liaising and supporting our technical functions with marketing campaigns, market research, developing key accounts, overall strategy and ensuring our members have added value through our services and consultancy.

We also provide a wide range of training courses from introductions into microbiology, Food Science & Technology, Thermal Processing etc to advanced HACCP and international regulatory courses.

Sales & Account Management Team

At Campden BRI we are proud to support our 2,500+ members, covering 82 countries across the food and drink industries, from ‘farm to fork’, manufacturers, retailers, and suppliers. We do this through offering a wide range of services:

  • Analytical analysis and testing services (chemistry, biochemistry and microbiology)
  • Technical manufacturing consultancy and training
  • Quality, safety and regulatory advice and consultancy
  • Research and product development


You will report to the Head of Sales and Account Management and be responsible for growing and promoting Campden BRI’s portfolio for Microbiology across analysis, testing and technical consultancy, through active business development, targeted campaigns, and working closely with operational/technical business units to identify key trends, market conditions and operational capacity/pipeline creation. This role will focus on supporting our microbiology teams.


This role will involve finding new customers, building strong partnerships, and strategically boosting sales. It will require scientific knowledge and sales skills to market our services & consultancy support, close deals, and support growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving market share and revenue by executing sales to new direct customers globally.



Position

  • Proactive business development – Identifying and interpreting key market trends & sales data to generate revenue, targeted sales campaigns, and long-term partnership opportunities.
  • Driving market share and revenue, identifying new customers, and upselling and cross selling opportunities.
  • Build collaborative relationships with technical business units to identify sales opportunities.
  • Responsibility for business unit pipeline creation/ operational capacity.
  • Maintain records of all account engagements through CRM and other management reporting as required.

Requirements

  • New business development experience in a consultative, technical sales environment ideally within microbiology or selling technical scientific services in food & drink industry clients.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with technical experts.
  • A natural team player with the ability to work unsupervised in a target orientated environment.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to work with people at all levels within work and client environments.
  • Capable of performing to a high standard in a collegiate management structure.
  • Experience of CRM systems and a willingness to support their use internally with comprehensive recording of all client activities.
  • Degree in science or technology or equivalent professional experience.
  • Full, clean driving license.
