Our support services cover all non-scientific business needs, including: IT, finance, HR, compliance, governance, legal and risk, facilities and engineering, catering, sales, marketing, and scientific affairs

Human Resources

​You will be working within a small friendly HR team who compromise of HR and Recruitment professionals, supporting with all HR admin support for all stages of the employee lifecycle and maintenance of the HR management information system.

Position

  • ​Update & maintain employee records, responding to employee queries regarding the HR system, and supporting the monthly and year-end sickness and payroll processes
  • Support the starters and leavers processes including preparation of offer packs, leavers letters, obtaining and providing references, checking and chasing probationary period forms, setting up personal files and ensuring that HR system is updated accordingly
  • Use and understand the HR system, to enable the preparation of monthly HR and sickness data reports
  • Provide advice and support as appropriate, to staff at all levels regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Support the HR Team with other ad-hoc aspects including preparing & processing the annual salary review, co-ordinating work experience placements, producing purchase requisitions for payment of invoices, and collating sickness absence data 
  • Support HR colleagues with generalist activities including case management and recruitment as required
  • Supporting the staff induction process and assist with the fulfilment of the HR Department induction duties 
  • Support recruitment colleague with advertising roles and ad hoc requirements

Requirements

​You will be confident, professional and discreet, with an interest in human resources- ideally working towards a formal qualification or having gained a relevant degree in HR or HR Business Management.

  • A’levels and English & Maths GCSE grade C or above
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative in problem solving
  • IT literate – particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Previous experience of HR databases would be beneficial


This is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week in our office in Chipping Campden.


This role could be suitable for a year’s student placement, recent graduate or someone who has some experience in HR.

We will consider full time or part time hours.
