Benefits of attending

The common sense approach to assuring food and feed safety, embodied in the Codex principles of HACCP, is explained with the use of specific feed case studies. Experienced tutors provide tips on the practical approach to developing HACCP-based systems with special reference to the production of feed and feed materials. Delegates have the opportunity to achieve a Intermediate Level (3) qualification in HACCP - HACCP for Feed Manufacture (awarding body the Royal Society of Public Health).

This is a new course with an option to achieve a HACCP qualification specifically designed for the feed sector.

A previous knowledge of at least basic feed safety is desirable.

Feed safety hazard identification

Case study exercises

Optional Intermediate Level (3) examination

Guidance given in the workshop enables HACCP team members and those evaluating HACCP systems to gain the required knowledge and understanding of HACCP to show the competence that is needed to meet recognised international standards.
