Venue: Campden BRI, Chipping Campden

Benefits of attending

A core element to the defence of food is a systematic evaluation of vulnerable elements of the supply chain carried out by an experienced and trusted team.  This has become a requirement of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety issue 7. One of the tools for performing this evaluation has been called Threat Assessment and Critical Control Point (TACCP).  This reflects established procedures for risk management and is likely that organizations will increasingly incorporate it into crisis and / or business continuity management frameworks.
Course Content

Roles that would benefit from attending the training are TACCP Team Leaders, Technical and Quality Managers from within organisations.

Training Course content

To examine CARVER and Shock, The Elliott Review and further details on the Human Elements of threats, as well as examples to develop the TACCP thought process.

To build and expand on tools to help conduct TACCP studies.

To share experiences and encourage debate around the topics discussed through delegate participation.

Learning Outcomes

  • To understand Threat Assessment and its application in more detail

  • To strengthen Vulnerability Assessments

  • Be able to develop TACCP studies by using examples as worked exercises during the course
