Supporting food manufacturers and retailers with product innovation including: rheology, new product development, value optimisation, instructional development, pilot plant, quality and food safety manufacturing, thermal processing, new technologies, and regulatory affairs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Executing technical food and beverage related projects / research, much of which will be practical work in our pilot plant facilities. This is a very hands-on role requiring an ability to manage your own time and meet deadlines.
  • Developing knowledge of a huge range of equipment to include operation, maintenance and records (60%)
  • A good balance of office-based activities collecting project data and preparing client reports. As experience develops there will be more scope to expand the role in this area including proposal writing. (20%)
  • In time, providing support to practical delivery on training courses and presentation on external/internal training courses (5%)
  • Assisting in health & safety, hygiene, good manufacturing activities (10%)
  • Contribute to idea generation for the group (5%)

What we’re looking for

  • 1-2 years Industrial food manufacturing experience would be an advantage
  • A degree in Food Science & Nutrition, Food Science & Technology or equivalent or 3+ years experience in the industry with A levels or equivalent will also be considered
  • Good verbal & communication skills
  • A passion in food and interest in food processing equipment
  • A strong team player with a willingness to learn new skills
  • Effective time management skills relating to effective delivery and business practices
  • Full UK/EU driving license
