You will modify and maintain the building fabric and furniture to provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient work environment. This role will help to ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations, meet the needs of the business and comply with our insurer’s requirements. 

What you’ll be doing

  • To exchange, modify and repair the building fabric, furniture / fittings as required by staff and the internal reactive maintenance system.
  • To assist with reactive maintenance. 
  • To assist with portering and movement of heavy goods and equipment around site. (15%)
  • To assist with preventative maintenance duties.
  • To assist with external site maintenance. 
  • To assist with efficient waste disposal and recycling.
  • Training room set-up.

What we’re looking for

  • Competent in painting and decorating, DIY skills.
  • An understanding of basic mechanical engineering tasks.
  • Competent using Microsoft software.
  • Qualified forklift operator (Not essential training can be provided).
  • An understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental legislation and procedures for safe working.
  • Knowledge and understanding of battery-operated tools.
  • Willingness to learn as there may be opportunities for further qualifications, training courses etc.
