Susan Rogers is the Section Manager: Sensory Testing Services within the Consumer and Sensory Science Department at Campden BRI.
Susan has over 15 years experience in the field of Sensory Evaluation. Her first sensory role as Discrimination Projects Manager was
primarily involved with taint investigation of food. During this time Susan also managed the Defence Food Services Quality Assurance contract which
involved the co-ordination of sensory, technical and analytical food testing services for the UK armed services. As Section Manager, Susan is responsible
for co-ordinating the activities of the Sensory Discrimination, Descriptive and Quality teams from business development to dissemination and presentation of
final results. Susan has presented at numerous client project meetings as well as on scheduled sensory training courses and holds the IFST accredited sensory
evaluation certificates at both introductory and intermediate level.
Susan holds a BA Degree in Home Economics (Food Studies/Applied Food Science) from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh and has over
10 years food industry experience working in various technical roles on snack seasoning applications, product development and quality control. As Quality
Assurance Manager for Dawn Foods, Evesham she successfully led the company through ISO9001 Quality Management Standard and gained considerable experience
in quality systems auditing and training.
