Why are we undertaking this project?

Companies are required to comply with BRC Global Food Safety Standard Issue 8 by minimising the risk of purchasing fraudulent or adulterated food raw materials and to ensure that all product descriptions and claims are legal, accurate and verified. In some situations, suitable tools will be needed to test raw materials and ingredients at risk of adulteration or substitution.

What are we doing as part of this project?

Using analytical screening approaches to show best practice for preparation and use of authenticity test methods.
