This online course is designed to give delegates the essential top line requirements of mandatory food and drink labelling requirements for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The course will deliver the essential need to know elements of food labelling requirements for food and drink products that are produced specifically for the GCC market and cement the delegates knowledge and understanding in food and drink labelling legislation in the GCC. It is designed for those planning to export their products to the GCC and are looking into understanding the labelling requirements for that region, and those wanting to be aware of the most up to date labelling legislation in the GCC following the wide range of GSO standards updates in 2021 and ongoing changes to date.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course delegates will:

  • Gain better understanding and knowledge in the GCC food and drink labelling legislation and seek advice for translation purposes mainly
  • Be aware how labelling legislation is enforced in the GCC
  • Identify compliant and non-compliant labels
