At Campden BRI, Finance plays a critical role in driving the success of our organisation. More than just managing the numbers, our team provides the insight, controls and commercial support that help shape business decisions and enable long-term growth.

We're entering an exciting period of transformation, investing in our systems, processes and people to build a modern, data-driven finance function. With a new finance system being introduced, expanded funding arrangements and a strong focus on improving working capital performance, we're looking for a Finance Operations Manager who will play a key role in shaping the future of finance operations across the business.

This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing team, drive meaningful change and make a visible impact across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the day-to-day delivery of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, credit control and cash allocation activities
  • Driving improvements in working capital performance, reducing aged debt and strengthening cash collection processes
  • Managing treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring and debt facility administration
  • Supporting the implementation of our new finance system and identifying opportunities to automate and improve finance processes
  • Overseeing month-end finance activities, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Coaching, developing and supporting the Accounts Payable Supervisor and Accounts Receivable Manager to build a high-performing, customer-focused team
  • Using financial and operational KPIs to monitor performance, identify trends and drive continuous improvement
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues across the business, as well as customers, suppliers and banking partners
  • Maintaining robust financial controls, ensuring compliance and delivering accurate financial reporting
  • Supporting payroll-related finance activities, governance and process documentation

What we’re looking for

  • Significant experience in a transactional finance leadership role covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, credit control, billing, cash allocation and reconciliations
  • Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with relevant finance leadership experience
  • Proven success in improving working capital, cash collection or delivering measurable process improvements
  • Strong understanding of month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, debt accounting and financial controls
  • Experience managing Purchase-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes within a complex organisation
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing and motivating finance teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insight
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a commercial and customer-focused mindset
  • Experience working with finance systems, process improvements, automation or transformation projects

What we offer

  • Reward platform with employee discounts and rewards
  • 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
  • Buy and sell holiday scheme
  • A generous work save pension scheme, with employee contributions matched by the company up to 10%
  • Culture focus around work/life balance (early finish Fridays)
  • Subsidised onsite restaurant
