Analytical Services

We offer commercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography,  packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits

What you’ll be doing

  • Operating and monitoring milling equipment to process cereal samples, including wheat and barley
  • Carrying out routine quality checks on raw materials and finished products
  • Preparing, receiving and booking samples into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Producing accurate laboratory records, calculations and data for customer reports
  • Performing calibration, maintenance and routine checks of laboratory equipment
  • Supporting quality activities and ensuring work is conducted in line with company standards
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and hygiene within the laboratory and milling areas
  • Assisting with general laboratory and administrative activities as required

What we’re looking for

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence operating laboratory or production equipment
  • Ability to follow detailed written methods and procedures
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work
