We offer commercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography, packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits

What you’ll be doing

To lead and manage the daily operations of the Chromatography Department
Maintain excellent service levels for clients/members
Support the Team Manager in efficient resource allocation
Manage the equipment and assets of the department
Manage costs and support the department in meeting financial metrics
Working with co-oridnators to oversee daily chromatography laboratory operations
Review and improve existing workflows and operational efficiency

What we’re looking for

Experience of leading laboratory operations in a chromatography laboratory including experience in managing team supervisors / co-ordinators
Wide experience of chromatography techniques within a food testing environment including but not limited to GC-MS-TOF, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, HS-GC-MS & GC-MS
Understanding of the analytical and quality requirements for the analysis of contaminants and nutritional components
Demonstrate experience in the application of continuous improvement principles to deliver operational improvements
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experienced in the requirements of the ISO 17025 standard
Science related degree (Chemistry degree would be an advantage)
