Don Whitley Scientific (DWS) introduced spiral plating to the UK; developed the world’s first variable atmosphere workstation for microbiologists; and is credited with jointly inventing the gravimetric diluter. It develops, manufactures, and sells equipment such as modified atmospheric chambers, including their Whitley Workstation and Hypoxystation range, as well as the Whitley WASP Touch®, which is designed to automate the process of spiral plating.
As official distributors for Alliance Bio Expertise (ABE) and Dickson, DWS offers a selection of products that are ideal for food laboratories. These include gravimetric diluters, homogenisers, peristaltic pumps, and media preparators from ABE. DWS also provides wireless monitoring systems for temperature, humidity, and other environmental parameters from Dickson’s OCEAView™ collection.
