Validation

New technologies - validation

To discuss your needs

Validation is vital to ensuring your process is safely achieving what is required for due diligence. Just like traditional thermal processes, validation is required for new technologies, whether thermal or non-thermal. With many emerging technologies, there’s little to no history of data to support many of the assumptions used with more traditional processing – so, it’s even more important to consider all the variables to identify those critical to the process control. Even with previously validated processes, changes to process parameters or product recipes may require a re-validation.

To help you with this, our expert team will carry out validation studies for your products. Using our own in-house technologies, our biosafety level 2 microbiology lab and by following robust protocols, we can deliver clear and accurate conclusions to support your processing. With knowledge of your worst-case conditions, we can ensure that your process will provide the right levels of inactivation to manufacturer safe products.

We offer validation services on the following core equipment:

We also have access to equipment through externally or internally-funded projects which can be used for validation trails. Get in touch to discover the full range of technologies we can access.

We currently have Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) technology available on site for both bulk food processing or liquid preservation applications.

With our validation expertise we can help you better understand the process to ensure you remain fully compliant with safety regulations when using a new technology.
