BRC Issue 8: Environmental monitoring

In this video Phil Voysey, microbiology group manager, discusses how to meet the new BRC Global Standard for Food Safety (issue 8) environmental monitoring requirement. A risk based environmental monitoring programme should be in place for all production areas covering pathogens and spoilage microorganisms.


The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety issue 8 was released in August 2018 and the first audits against issue 8 will start in February 2019.
