BRC Issue 8: Environmental monitoring

Phil Voysey, Microbiology Group Manager

In this video Phil Voysey, microbiology group manager, discusses how to meet the new BRC Global Standard for Food Safety (issue 8) environmental monitoring requirement. A risk based environmental monitoring programme should be in place for all production areas covering pathogens and spoilage microorganisms.

The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety issue 8 was released in August 2018 and the first audits against issue 8 will start in February 2019.
