Campden BRI and Cotswolds Distillery create winning blend
Campden BRI case study
One of the newest names in the spirits industry - Cotswolds Distillery - enlisted the help of Campden BRI to select the recipe for its premium Cotswolds Dry Gin.
Campden BRI's team of in-house professional tasters put the craft distiller's 12 original gin recipes to the test. The winning recipe selected includes the traditional base of juniper, angelica root and coriander along with a secret blend of seven botanicals - Cotswolds lavender, coriander seed, fresh grapefruit and lime peel, bay leaf, black pepper and cardamom seed.
Geoff Taylor, Campden BRI's wines and spirits expert said, "We put the 12 best recipes from the 50 developed by Cotswolds Distillery to our team of sensory experts. The gins were blind tested and assessed against the major brands for aroma and taste. The winning gin beat several major brands in the taste tests and is now on sale."
