Understanding microbial genomes: Campden BRI seminar


During the last ten years, sequencing of DNA has become cheaper and more productive than anyone could have imagined previously. Now microbiologists use powerful sequencing methods to study the genomes of individual microorganisms and microbial communities.


Currently, the food industry is not routinely using sequencing for these analyses, despite its adoption by government agencies and healthcare practitioners.
