Method development and evaluation

Because of our long association with food analysis, Campden BRI is ideally placed to be involved in method development and testing, and participates in a variety of inter-laboratory trials, such as that for identification of physical contaminants (the foreign bodies identification scheme) and for brewing analytes (the Brewing Analytes Proficiency Scheme).
Development of a robust method for the analysis of Sudan and related illegal dyes here at Campden BRI meant that the industry had a reliable means for assessing the extent of the problem. We also have a long history of developing both microbiological methods and sensory analysis techniques, and in evaluating and developing methods for wheat and flour.
We can also help you calibrate the instruments you use.
