Delegate Feedback (2025):

  • Both tutors were good course leaders, answered my questions and made the volume of information feel manageable. It was good to have two tutors and switching between the two for different topics. The examples given were very helpful.
  • Both tutors engaging and extremely knowledgeable on the subject, very quick to provide links and answers to questions during the course rather than mopping up at the end like a lot of training courses do. All areas covered.
  • Very good as clear breakdown of requirements, regular 'summaries' of requirements, comparison to EU.

Benefits of attending

Are you planning on exporting to the United States of America (USA) and need to ensure that your labels are compliant with USA regulations? This course will help you understand what changes need to be made to labels when selling into the United States.

Food labelling regulations in the United States are very different and far more prescriptive than those in the UK and European Union (EU), which can seem very daunting for those UK and EU producers who wish to export to the USA. Those who do wish to export to the United States should be aware that UK/EU labelled products are not sufficient and new labels must be developed to comply with all relevant USA legislation.  This course provides an in-depth view into those labelling requirements and helps delegates understand how to translate their UK/EU label into a USA label.

Focussed on up-to-date USA legislation, this course is designed for those in regulatory affairs, product development, or artwork management. Delegates will gain the tools and knowledge to create compliant food labelling that meets USA expectations.

Delivered live online over two mornings (09:00–13:00 UK time), the course includes interactive sessions and the opportunity to ask questions of our experienced Regulatory Advisors. Delegates will  receive digital course materials and a Microsoft Teams login link ahead of the session.
