Water meters

Meters will identify low cost savings, such as:

• unnecessary losses to overflow
• water flowing through faulty valves
• earlier detection of losses; before water bill arrives
• more accurate measurement of effluent flows and thus charges
• identify if any of these losses occur during non-production periods e.g. possible night time

Use the meters to

• Design a preventative maintenance programme
• Set in place a system for reporting unnecessary losses / usage
• Systematically produce trend graphs to make data viewing simple

Meters are certainly justified for flows more than 2000 hl / week

• often justified for lower use areas
